Iran hosts an exhibition on Ashura apparel in conjunction with the mouring month of Muharram.
The exhibit held on Saturday in Iranian capital city of Tehran showcased the Imam Hussein (AS) mourners’ clothes with various designs.
Hamid Qobadi, director of Organizing Fashion and Clothes Working Group in Iran, also attended the exhibition. He told media, “One of the key aims of Ashura apparel exhibition is the realization of Iranian- Islamic lifestyle.”
The clothes on shows were made for different age brackets, including children and young adults.
Each year, Muslims across the globe mark martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS) on Ashura Day which falls in the Islamic lunar month of Muharram. The first day of the mourning month has already started in Iran.
